Yoron Island is a small island located at the southernmost tip of Kagoshima Prefecture. An island of uplifted coral reefs, the white sands and clear waters are also known as the “pearl of the Orient.” It is located about 23km north of the main island of Okinawa and can be accessed by plane or ferry. The circumference of Yoron Island is about 23km, the population is about 6,000, and the annual average temperature is about 23 degrees Celsius.
